Graduation Day
For a moment, I just didn't know how best to blog about today. Talk about ambivalent feelings. Maybe let's talk about the good and the bad:
The Good
#1. Somebody's words really made my day: (Thank you! I'll forever remember this!)
"因为有了我们,才会有“高发”"
#2. I got like a a good number [haha so not specific ;)] of photographs. Just going to post a selection below:

The Bad
#1. I have several reservations as to who should be getting some award, but that doesn't compare to the one below:
#2. What gives you the damned (I don't care about censorship: as per Fahrenheit 451) right to use my trophy?!? You want to pose with a trophy, well and good, but why my trophy? Who are you to pose with my trophy? And what glory in the first place if the trophy isn't yours?
The offending picture below: [The trophy in question is the one on the left]
And the thing about today that I feel the most ambivalent about is the buffet food (Totally random!). Although the buffet food was not bad (eg. the fried bee hoon) the buffet food can be improved (eg. noodles got no taste).
The Random
The hangers that I hung my uniform on happen to be in the school's colours (red and green). Take a look at the hangers below:
I do feel a bit reluctant about graduating. After spending 4 years with my classmates, really the bonds formed are really existent (even if they appear to be non-existent -- Trust me!). And as for the scholars, my opinion of them has changed (or did an about-turn) in the last two years. I had (a tremendous amount of) fun with them, joked about a lot, and somehow made me feel much more relaxed and less stressed (Where's the O levels?). Aerospace engineering as a subject for the O levels?
After going through so many experiences together (g. Cheering Comp), really the scholars are good friends. And for Robert and Iddo, remember this: the trophy we earned after putting in all our efforts:
An analogy for today:
Going to school is something like going overseas and having a homestay with the locals for quite a while (a week, even month?), and then you leave your hosts. That kind of reluctance can make you feel sad for a while, but you learn to cherish the good memories.
On a positive note: If I can work hard to get autographs for my yearbook, I can work even harder to get my A1s!
Note #2: Over the course of the past few weeks I have prepared several notes on various subjects, including Lit (F451 + Unseen) and portions of Geography. If you want them come find me and we can work out the details.
With that, I'll be back one month later, 13 November 2009. Prepare to see this place changed ...
