In the last part of this 4-part series, I bring to you readers more photos of the old school.
First, the library: Next, the General Office: Thirdly, the canteen: And lastly, the hall (pardon the blur pictures!) : I hope that this series has brought back memories of the old school compound for you readers. Ahh, those good old times ...
This week, the song I'm putting up was first released in 1995. Yes, 1995! I wonder if you still remember the times you had in 1995. For me, I still could not speak in 1995! What about you?
Anyway, today's song is That's Why You Go Away , by the band Michael Learns To Rock. Enjoy the MV (with the lyrics) !
Last weekend (Saturday specifically) , I went outside to the city centre. Can you guess where I went to in the city centre? Take your clues from the pictures below: Yup, first I went to the Supreme Court's open house, dubbed "The Living Courthouse". From the 8th floor of the Court, one can catch a panoramic view of the Central Business District. Here are some pictures I'd taken of the city: One more photo before I go on: Next, can you guess where I went to next from the following photos? From the photos, you can see that the background is Suntec Convention Centre. And what's on there on that weekend? Of course it's the IT Show! It's madness over there, as you readers can see in the photos there is simply a MASSIVE amount of people there, so much so they had to do crowd control. The crowd stretched all the way to the Citylink Mall, as seen from here: I saw something interesting at the IT Show. Take a look at it first: Do you think this is a statue? If so, you are WRONG! This happens to be a lady acting as a statue! The first time I saw it, I thought it was a statue, until I saw the "statue" blink! Haha, that kinda freaked me out.
So there you have it; my outing to the city centre.
Today, I'm presenting another song from 1999. Yup, another song from 10 years ago (or a decade / 0.1 of a century!) . What a long time, I must admit, away from all the carefree life of being in kindergarten ...
Coming back to the topic, the song for today is Amazed, by the band Lonestar:
Lyrics to Amazed [Lonestar] Every time our eyes meet This feeling inside me Is almost more than I can take
Baby, when you touch me I can feel how much you love me And it just blows me away
I've never been this close to anyone or anything I can hear your thoughts, I can see your dreams
I don't know how you do what you do I'm so in love with you It just keeps getting better
I wanna spend the rest of my life With you by my side Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do Baby, I'm amazed by you
The smell of your skin The taste of your kiss The way you whisper in the dark
Your hair all around me Baby, you surround me You touch every place in my heart
Oh, it feels like the first time every time I wanna spend the whole night in your eyes
I don't know how you do what you do I'm so in love with you It just keeps getting better
I wanna spend the rest of my life With you by my side Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do Baby, I'm amazed by you
Every little thing that you do I'm so in love with you It just keeps getting better
I wanna spend the rest of my life With you by my side Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do Oh, every little thing that you do Baby, I'm amazed by you
For the second part of the series, I'm posting some more photos of the old school. First up, the sculpture garden: Next up, the archive room: And lastly for today, the chemistry lab: I'm tired after the Sports Carnival today, so I shall stop here. Happy March Holidays to all of you readers!
Let's see, what do I want to do for the March Holidays?
1. Homework Nothing much to crap here.
2. Band practices Ditto. (Did I just say that? Man, I should have said "Band practices are super-duper out-of-this-world ultra-delicious FUN!!!" !)
3. Revision Good point here. I plan to make notes for Literature (F451) and Geography, so if you want to make notes with me, let me know and I'll see if we can work something out.
4. Go out Where can I go out to? There's the Supreme Court open house this coming weekend, and I can put it together with a visit to the IT Show at the Suntec Convention Center. Same as above, if you want to go out together with me then inform me and I'll see if we can work something out.
So there, a MCQ question. If I had to choose what I would do for the March Holidays, my answer is fortunately (or unfortunately) all of the above! ;)
Today, I have for you readers, a song way back from 1999. Do you still remember that time when we were 6 years old, in K2? I have faint memories of K2, no kidding there.
Back from beating the bush, today's song is I Want It That Way [Yes, not this way! ;) ] , by the Backstreet Boys (still remember them?) :
Lyrics to I Want It That Way [Backstreet Boys] You are my fire The one desire Believe when I say I want it that way
But we are two worlds apart Can't reach to your heart When you say That I want it that way
Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a heartache Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a mistake Tell me why I never wanna hear you say I want it that way
Am I your fire? Your one desire? Yes I know, it's too late But I want it that way
Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a heartache Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a mistake Tell me why I never wanna hear you say I want it that way
Now I can see that we've fallen apart From the way that it used to be, yeah No matter the distance I want you to know That deep down inside of me
You are my fire The one desire You are, you are, you are, you are Don't wanna hear you say
Ain't nothin' but a heartache Ain't nothin' but a mistake (I wanna hear you say) I never wanna hear you say I want it that way
Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a heartache Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a mistake Tell me why I never wanna hear you say (I wanna hear you say) I want it that way
Tell me why Ain't nothin' but a heartache Ain't nothin' but a mistake Tell me why I never wanna hear you say I want it that way 'Cause I want it that way
While doing some spring cleaning recently, I came upon some photos of the old school compound (at the current Choa Chu Kang site) . (To think I don't have such photos at all!) Hence, for this March, in conjunction with the theme of nostalgia for my music posts, I shall post such photos over the course of this March, on Fridays.
Today, I shall put up some of the locations that have vanished after the PRIME upgrade. First up, the cabin classrooms [still remember them?] : Next, the i-hub [wonder if anybody still remembers about this though!] : The last for today, the i-studio [another sure-long-time-ago-forget already liao!] : Stay tuned for more as I post some of the photos here!
For the past four Mondays I have put up songs, which I like. The songs also have a common theme (ask me personally for the theme for February!) . I like the idea of Music Monday, where I put songs up on this blog on Mondays, so I'm going to continue it indefinitely.
For March, the songs posted will all have a common feature. All of the songs are not current hits, but are hits way back in the 90's (or even the 80's and beyond!) . This means that this month's theme is that of nostalgia.
Well, today's song is Lemon Tree, by the band Fool's Garden. I found an animated "music video" of the song, and I hope you all will enjoy it as much as I do! The lyrics are in the video, and with that, enjoy!
