An gathering on New Year's Day

I meant to post this yesterday, but I was out. So this post is delayed ...

Anyway, I wanted to post about my father and his ex-classmates (P6) who will gather every year. To be specific, during 1 Jan of every year. So this year, I accompanied my father down to one of his (ex)classmate's house, partly due to the food and partly as I wanted to see the interactions during the gathering.

My father's classmates are all very warm and friendly towards each other, even after 30+ years of them knowing each other, if you count from their primary school years. So the next logical train of thought would lead to this question: (And the whole point of this post!)

Will my classmates have a (annual) gathering like this in the future?

• If the question is specific to my Primary school classmates (Batch of '05) , I guess maybe not.
• If the question is specific to those in 201, I guess maybe. (And if they do organise a gathering, I doubt I'll be invited ...)
• If the question is specific to those in 4T2, I honestly don't think so. With scholars scattered across SE Asia, that will be an challenge and a half. Even if there somehow is one, the class is too fragmented too, with high chances that everyone will gather in their own clusters ...

So there. Class outing? For me I think the response is "Wait long long ar ..."

Ok going back to the topic. Really, stepping into 2010, I find that 2010 will be entirely different from the preceding years.
There will be (a) NEW:

• School
• Friends
• Events
• Experiences

Though all this means that I'll treasure whatever that I value most in 2009. In fact, I spent the past week making "28 hightlights of 2009" to remind myself of the key events/people/places in 2009. Here it is:

The Year in Review: 2009

In the final moments of 2009, I'm going to highlight some of the momentous events in 2009 that I've experienced, according to the months, right in this post.

1. January 2009
A new year (back then, that is), a new school compuond, a new environment. A new mindset?

2. February 2009
This time last year, I faced 3 setbacks. Now, I faced a major downpoint, and another that was probably the work of my mind ...

3. March 2009
A plan surfaced from my mind, to attempt to resolve the major roadblock in my mind ...

4. April 2009
The plan from above, starting to form, planning to be executed ...

5. May 2009
An outing in between the exam weeks, the execution of a variant of my plan, and another outing to sort out the thoughts in my mind ...

6. June 2009
A major earthquake in me ... which kind of was like "the Final Blow". Another outing to sort out the inner thoughts in me ...

7. July 2009
By now outings were to "manage the files in my hard disk". And for the second year running my team won the Electrifying Connections competition! And the band concert was delayed yet again :(

8. August 2009
After the Prelims, playing poker in class and found out by the Principal. Luckily we got away with no punishment :D

9. September 2009
The ending of something old and useless, or the start of something new?

10. October 2009
Last few days of class in BPGHS, then Graduation Day, and the O levels. Need I add more?

11. November 2009
After the O levels, came Prom night. Got me happy and emo for the same reason. Well, almost ...

12. December 2009
Boredom at home, though outside I strap myself tightly to the ground to stop from flying too high (and too far away) ...

So there you have it. Noted that there aren't a lot of stuff here? This year there aren't a lot of achievements, so I've put in some of the "milestones" in my mind ...

Anyway, 2010 would essentially be a different year from 2009; for the most basic difference is that I will no longer be in BPGHS. So how would 2010 turn out?

Singapore Idol 2009

Today I'm going to blog about this year's Singapore Idol (Duh!). I didn't follow the last two seasons closely, though I did this time round, so I know the contestants pretty well. Though everyone knows that the two in this year's finale are Sylvia and Sezairi (both names start with S!), thanks to Mediacorp spamming the Idol ads [Haha just joking ;) ].

So here's the million-dollar question: Who would I support? The answer:

Why him?

• He really is talented, and super original too!
• I like his index number: 3028 - Really close to my index number for the O levels (0328!)

Ok enough crap from me ;) I do hope that Sezairi wins; the search for the first female Singapore Idol can go on to next year haha!
