Haven't Met You Yet - Michael Bublé

Today's song for Music Monday is Haven't Met You Yet, by Michael Bublé. IMO, it's a lovely and likeable song, such that I played this song more than 50 times for the past week!

Without further ado, here's the MV for this song. Hope you like the song as much as I do!

Lyrics for Haven't Met You Yet [Michael Bublé]
I'm not surprised
Not everything lasts
I've broken my heart so many times I stopped keeping track

Talk myself in
I talk myself out
I get all worked up
Then I let myself down

I tried so very hard not to lose it
I came up with a million excuses
I thought I thought of every possibility

And I know some day that it’ll all turn out
You'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And I promise you kid that I give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet

Mmmmm ....

I might have to wait
I’ll never give up
I guess it's half timing, and the other half's luck
Wherever you are
Whenever it's right
You'll come out of nowhere and into my life

And I know that we can be so amazing
And baby your love is gonna change me
And now I can see every possibility

Mmmmm....

Somehow I know that it’ll all turn out
You'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And I promise you kid, I'll give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet

They say all’s fair
And in love and war
But I won’t need to fight it,
We'll get it right and
We'll be united

Instrumental - Trumpet feature! :D

And I know that we can be so amazing
And being in your life is gonna change me
And now I can see every single possibility

Mmmmm ...

And someday I know it'll all turn out
And I'll work to work it out
Promise you kid I’ll give more than I get
Than I get, than I get, than I get

Oh, you know it'll all turn out
And you'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And I promise you kid to give so much more than I get, yeah
I just haven't met you yet

I just haven't met you yet
Oh, promise you kid
To give so much more than I get

I said love love love love love love love .....
I just haven't met you yet
Love love love .....
I just haven't met you yet

Class outings

This post shows how much you can know through the new media: MSN and Facebook.

Anyway, recall a post that I made two weeks before: An gathering on New Year's Day. In that post, I commented on the unlikeliness of class outings. So here's the relevant extract for today:

Will my classmates have a (annual) gathering like this in the future?
  • If the question is specific to my Primary school classmates (Batch of '05) , I guess maybe not.
  • If the question is specific to those in 201, I guess maybe. (And if they do organise a gathering, I doubt I'll be invited ...)
  • If the question is specific to those in 4T2, I honestly don't think so. With scholars scattered across SE Asia, that will be an challenge and a half. Even if there somehow is one, the class is too fragmented too, with high chances that everyone will gather in their own clusters ...

Back to today's post. So let's start with my P6 class. Previously I thought that there may be no class outing, but I found out recently that there HAD BEEN a 6I class outing not too long ago (in fact it was on this week's Wednesday!) , and there's proof in the form of a photo album on Facebook. And I had not been invited to it?!? What the heck?!?

Going on to my Sec 2 class, 201. Well, through MSN, I found out about a class outing that will take place next Wednesday. By luck (or otherwise what?) I was invited. So this proves what I've said before wrong.

And moving on to my Sec 4 class, 4T2. No, I don't have any idea if there will be a class outing or not. Though if I study the trends above, 4T2's class outing may take place on next next week's Wednesday (27 Jan 2010)! :D HOWEVER this is just a speculation only. More likely is that there will be no class outing at all ...

Will notice of 4T2's class outing appear in MSN or Facebook? Only time will tell ...
PS: What I really want is a 4T2 class outing ...

JAE 2010 - A Decision for the Next 2 Years

The Joint Admissions Exercise is about to end in less than a day's time. That roughly means that I have a tentative candidate for the number 1 choice: AJC!

Ok, maybe I shall put down the other choices I'm considering for the no. 1 spot as well. Here's the list: (Decode yourself!)

    • AJC
    • HCJC
    • NJC
    • PJC
    • IJC
    • C55 [CGT]
    • C80 [EI]
    • N84 [CEM]
    • C48 [EE]
    • T29 [GBS]
    • T52 [CE]
    • R41 [REE]
    • N89 [SUDE]
So that's about it. Stay tuned to find out the eventual order of options that I will submit for the JAE 2010!

    UPDATE on 15 Jan 2010
Ok, it's final. I've chosen AJC as my first choice (do I still need to list the others?) . Heard through Facebook that there will be many people from BP going to AJC, so will there be a BP-clique in AJC? For that, only time will tell ...

Back To Life - Soul II Soul

After the extremely long holidays, it's time to get back to life, to get back to school to get our O level results. Yup, if you haven't get it yet, today's song is Back To Life, by Soul II Soul. Enjoy! (And good luck for those waiting for your O level results!)

Lyrics to Back To Life [Soul II Soul]
Back to life, back to reality
Back to life, back to reality
Back to life, back to reality
Back to the here and now yeah

Show me how, decide what you want from me
Tell me maybe I could be there for you

    However do you want me,
    However do you need me
How, however do you want me,
    However do you need me.

    However do you want me,
    However do you need me
How, however do you want me,
    However do you need me.

Back to life, back to the present time,
    Back from a fantasy
Yeah, tell me now, take the initiative
I'll leave it in your hands until you're ready oh

    However do you want me
    However do you need me
How, however do you want me
    However do you need me.

    However do you want me
    However do you need me
How, however do you want me
    However do you need me.

    However do you need me
    However do you need me
    However do you need me
    However do you need me

I live at the top of the block
No more room for trouble or fuss
Need a change, a positive change
Look it's me writing on the wall

    However do you want me
    However do you need me
How, however do you want me
    However do you need me.

    However do you want me
    However do you need me
How, however do you want me
    However do you need me.

Back to life, back to the day we have
    Let's end this foolish game
Hear me out don't let me waste away
Make up your mind so I know where I stand

    However do you want me
    However do you need me
    (Repeat until fade)

    Post-Secondary Education

Ok I know that most of you readers will most definitely choose JC over Poly . Well, I prefer NOT to make that decision that soon and source for other possibilities (besides JCs and more JCs); after all we learnt about diversification in SS right? (Or don't put all your eggs in one basket?)

Personally I prefer Poly education over JC education. The pros are:

    • I can (easily) be a big fish in a small pond
    • Specialisation in terms of skills taught
    • Securing a scholarship brings prestige
Then again, nearer the last few weeks I think JCs are better. Here's why:
    • Better to defer deciding on future job lest your dream job changes
    • No fuss over uniform
    • Get to complete NS earlier
    • Cost is much cheaper
Any other pros and cons that I have missed out? Please suggest!

And of course, whether I choose JC or Poly, there remains a million-dollars question: Which JC/Poly? Any suggestions? Though these JCs are out for me: The top 5 JCs, ACJC, and possibly AJC as well ...

    UPDATE on 7/01/10
OK, so I've updated this list once again to include the opening times for all the poly open houses. Here's the list:
    1. SP's open house: 7-9 Jan (1000 to 1800 hrs)
    2. TP's open house: 7, 8 Jan (1200 to 1730 hrs) , 9 Jan (1100 to 1700 hrs)
    3. NYP's open house: 7, 9 Jan (1100 to 1800 hrs) , 8 Jan (1100 to 2100 hrs)
    4. NP's open house: 7-9 Jan (1100 to 1800 hrs)
    5. RP's open house: 7-9 Jan (1000 to 1800 hrs)
NB: The dates in orange are the dates that I will be going to that poly's open house, so you know which poly you can find me in from 7 to 9 Jan. See you there?

    UPDATE on 11/01/10
I have moved the list of JC open houses to this post so that readers don't have to scroll down all the way to here to see that list.

Touch My Hand - David Archuleta

Initially, today's song (Touch My Hand by David Archuleta) was supposed to be posted only next week. But oh well, this song has quite a significance, and recently I also posted a song with a title that relates to this song: 想握你的手 (which translates to "Want to hold your hand"). So enough of the significance? Ok let's move on. Oh yes, enjoy today's song anyway ...

Lyrics to Touch My Hand [David Archuleta]
    Saw you from a distance
    Saw you from the stage
Something about the look in your eyes
    Something about your beautiful face

    In a sea of people
    There is only you
I never knew what the song was about
    But suddenly now I do

Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand
Reach out as far as you can
Only me, only you, and the band
Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand

    Can't let the music stop
    Can't let this feeling end
Cause if I do it'll all be over
    I'll never see you again

    Can't let the music stop
    Until I touch your hand
Cause if I do it'll all be over
I'll never get the chance again

I'll never get the chance again
I'll never get the chance again

I see the sparkle of a million flashlights
    A wonder wall of stars
But the one that's shining out so bright is the one right where you are

Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand
Reach out as far as you can
Only me, only you, and the band
Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand

    Can't let the music stop
    Can't let this feeling end
Cause if I do it'll all be over
    I'll never see you again

    Can't let the music stop
    Until I touch your hand
Cause if I do it'll all be over
I'll never get the chance again
I'll never get the chance again

    Saw you from the distance
    Saw you from the stage
Something about the look in your eyes
    Something about your beautiful face

    Can't let the music stop
    Can't let this feeling end
Cause if I do it'll all be over
    I'll never see you again

    Can't let the music stop
    Until I touch your hand
Cause if I do it'll all be over
I'll never get the chance again
I'll never get the chance again

    Can't let the music stop
    Can't let this feeling end
Cause if I do it'll all be over
    I'll never see you again

    Can't let the music stop
    Until I touch your hands
Cause if I do it'll all be over
I'll never get the chance again
I'll never get the chance again

Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand
Reach out as far as you can
Only me, only you, and the band
Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand
    Yeah, yeah, yeah

An gathering on New Year's Day

I meant to post this yesterday, but I was out. So this post is delayed ...

Anyway, I wanted to post about my father and his ex-classmates (P6) who will gather every year. To be specific, during 1 Jan of every year. So this year, I accompanied my father down to one of his (ex)classmate's house, partly due to the food and partly as I wanted to see the interactions during the gathering.

My father's classmates are all very warm and friendly towards each other, even after 30+ years of them knowing each other, if you count from their primary school years. So the next logical train of thought would lead to this question: (And the whole point of this post!)

So there. Class outing? For me I think the response is "Wait long long ar ..."

    Bye Bye 2009, Hi 2010!

Once again, Okto has fulfilled my wish:

Ok going back to the topic. Really, stepping into 2010, I find that 2010 will be entirely different from the preceding years.
    There will be (a) NEW:

    • School
    • Friends
    • Events
    • Experiences
Though all this means that I'll treasure whatever that I value most in 2009. In fact, I spent the past week making "28 hightlights of 2009" to remind myself of the key events/people/places in 2009. Here it is:
Though it looks simple on the outside, the content inside counts the most. There's stuff on Facebook, my handphone, etc.

Well enough of 2009 already. I almost forgot to add this one:
    HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!
