7 things about 13 February
This morning, I went around telling classmates that they can get a free lunch on me if they somehow manages to break my hand. It's crazy, but it's a way that I have come up with to commemorate the anniversary of the fracture of my left arm.
Yes, I broke my arm, near my wrist, on this fateful day. Fateful, because it has changed so much of my life! So many of my dearest things were lost! So many!
Ok, here on this blog of mine, I am going to list down 7 things related to me breaking my hand on this fateful day. Some of them may be directly related to the fracture, while others may only be tangentially related. So here they are:
1. $10 note
This happened to be my pocket money for this day last year and the day after. Something happened to the $10 note before I could spend it on that day. It's up to you readers to guess what happened. I'm not telling here.
2. 0945
This happened to be the time that I broke my hand. There's another thing to do with the 4 numbers though. Again I'm not telling what is the other significance of 0945.
3. Bang Wu
The first person that attended to me, when I realised that something was not right after the fall that had caused me to break my hand. In fact, he came on his own accord. Mr Tan the PE teacher even told him to enjoy his games instead, but I told him that Bang Wu was from St. John, and so he could help me. Anyway, here's a big thanks to you, Bang Wu, if you are reading this!
4. Meng Han
The last schoolmate I spoke to, before leaving the school to seek medical attention. He shared with me on his experiences with fractures. For example, he said that the staff will send me to KK Hospital if I went to a polyclinic. Anyway, he also comforted me, which is why I want to thank him here. So, if you are reading this, Meng Han, here's a big Thank You from me!
5. 10 year series
This was the advice given to me from a staff at KK Hospital. To be specific, it was the X-ray specialist who attended to me that gave me this advice, seeing and inferring that I was in the Upper Secondary levels. Some more, he was on an attachment, as he was still studying at a polytechnic. He told me that doing 10 year series will greatly improve my chances at the O levels. As it came from somebody who has been through the O levels recently, I believe that what he says is true. So you readers, if your O levels are coming up (which should be the case) , go on and do your 10 year series!
6. 5
This is the room number that I went to to see the doctor who would do something about my fractured hand. Coincidentally, this was also the result for What's my expression number? blog quiz.
7. Chicken rice
This was the first meal I had after I broke my hand. There was a 9 hour gap between my last meal, my breakfast, and this meal, which meant I was very hungry. ;)
There you have it. 7 random facts related to the fracture of my hand.
