NUS Open House 2012

As with the NTU Open House, I went primarily because I had nothing better to do at home. After all, this weekend marks the 3rd week of my MC, and I have 4 more weeks to go, so to speak ...

Anyway, because I had visited their open house last year, there was pretty much nothing new for me at this year's open house. Except perhaps the new UTown, and the residential colleges there. So I went with my friends for a tour there, and visited the hostel rooms and other facilities, and also went for a short lecture (about Darwin's theory of evolution - my brain "hanged up" from processing the information from the lecture, possibly a side effect of the army lol xD). I had lunch at the Fish and Co express outlet at UTown; the meal was nice, though I thought I might have been scammed by paying extra $2 just for cheese :/

With my right foot recovering from a toe fracture, I tried to walk normally, instead of limping around. Even though my foot was at a better condition compared to a week ago, walking around NUS was actually much more tortuous than in NTU, perhaps because I walked for much longer distances at NUS - NTU seems to have most of their facilities clustered together, whereas NUS was more spread out. However, it was not so bad, as I saw and talked to familiar people who were around the open house event area. I guess that was really the point of going for the open house - to relieve myself of boredom at home :)

I guess that's all I have for now. I'm going to go back to Tekong on Monday, most probably to endorse my MC, and I'm wondering if I would be clearing out my stuff as well when I return. Well, at least I get to return the crutches - I'm glad I don't need to use the crutches to move around anymore :D
