I wanted to embed my favourite commercial here, but I can't do so, so I guess I'll just post about it here.
Looking at all the commercials, I feel that only one of the commercial deserves the award. It's the commercial from Silkair, about a fellow taking a bath when a tribe member appears from out of nowhere. The unexpected part is, the fellow then uses his fingers to cover his nipples from the tribe member! That's so funny lah! And the tagline that followed later? "You'll never forget a holiday from Silkair." ROFLMAO! That hit it!
Seriously, all the other commercials really do not have this effect that this commercial from Silkair has. Hence, I hope that this award gets the Viewer's Choice Award this year! (Don't ask me to vote; I'm not rich!)
Hi all! Here's the last song of the four part special for February. In case you readers are new here, this month, I have put up four songs, that have a common theme. So, your job is to guess what is the common theme for all four songs. Remember, the theme has something to do with some part of me.
Ok, so today's song is A Little Too Not Over You, by David Archuleta:
Lyrics to A Little Too Not Over You [David Archuleta] It never crossed my mind at all That's what I tell myself What we had has come and gone You're better off with someone else
It's for the best I know it is but I see you Sometimes I try to hide what I feel inside And I turn around, you're with him now I just can't figure it out
Tell me why you're so hard to forget Don't remind me, I'm not over it Tell me why I can't seem to face the truth I'm just a little too not over you, not over you
Aren't memories supposed to fade? What's wrong with my heart? Shake it off, let it go Didn't think it'd be this hard
Should be strong, movin' on but I see you Sometimes I try to hide what I feel inside And I turn around, you're with him now I just can't figure it out
Tell me why you're so hard to forget Don't remind me, I'm not over it Tell me why I can't seem to face the truth I'm just a little too not over you
Maybe I regret everything I said No way to take it all back, yeah Now I'm on my own, how I let you go I'll never understand I'll never understand!
Tell me why you're so hard to forget Don't remind me, I'm not over it Tell me why I can't seem to face the truth I'm just a little too not over you
Tell me why you're so hard to forget Don't remind me, I'm not over it Tell me why I can't seem to face the truth And I really don't know what to do I'm just a little too not over you, not over you
I was just thinking about sets another day, and I figured that a figment of my thoughts can be represented in a set like this. Have fun figuring what the signs (and what A and B) ! (Or go and check out set theory on Wikipedia!)
I caught the debut of The Amazing Race 14, and the first thing that caught my attention is the mother and son pair Margie and Luke, for Luke is deaf. I had thought that they might be one of the first few pairs to be eliminated. However, it surprised me that they had gotten a first place finish for the first leg! That's like, OMG! Really!
Anyway for you readers who are interested in catching this series, it is broadcast at 8 pm on Mondays at Channel 5. BTW it's possible to catch a direct telecast from the USA on 8 am the same day, but we have school! ;)
Good day all! I have received quite a bit of replies on what the 4 songs that I'm putting up for February have in common. I must say that some of the replies are quite interesting, but there's no way you readers can really decipher the theme of the four songs, without listening to all 4 songs.
So here we are. Today's song is Gotta Be Somebody, by the band Nickelback.
Lyrics to Gotta Be Somebody [Nickelback] This time I wonder what it feels like To find the one in this life The one we all dream of But dreams just aren't enough
So I'll be waiting for the real thing I'll know it by the feeling The moment when we're meeting Will play out like a scene straight off the silver screen
So I'll be holdin' my breath Right up 'til the end Until that moment when I find the one that I'll spend forever with!
'Cause nobody wants to be the last one there And everyone wants to be like someone cares Someone to love with my life in their hands There's gotta be somebody for me like that
'Cause nobody wants to go it on their own And everyone wants to know they're not alone There's somebody else that feels the same somewhere There's gotta be somebody for me out there
Tonight Out on the street, out in the moonlight And damn, all this feels too right It's just like déjà vu Me standin' here with you
So I'll be holdin' my breath Could this be the end? Is it that moment when I find the one that I'll spend forever with?
'Cause nobody wants to be the last one there And everyone wants to be like someone cares Someone to love with my life in their hands There's gotta be somebody for me like that
'Cause nobody wants to go it on their own And everyone wants to know they're not alone There's somebody else that feels the same somewhere There's gotta be somebody for me out there
Ooh! You can't give up When you're lookin' for a diamond in the rough You'll never know when it shows up Make sure you're holdin' on 'Cause it could be the one, the one you're waiting on
'Cause nobody wants to be the last one there And everyone wants to be like someone cares Someone to love with my life in their hands There's gotta be somebody for me, oh!
Nobody wants to go it on their own And everyone wants to know they're not alone There's somebody else that feels the same somewhere There's gotta be somebody for me out there
Nobody wants to be the last one there And everyone wants to be like someone cares There's somebody else that feels the same somewhere There's gotta be somebody for me out there
This morning, I went around telling classmates that they can get a free lunch on me if they somehow manages to break my hand. It's crazy, but it's a way that I have come up with to commemorate the anniversary of the fracture of my left arm.
Yes, I broke my arm, near my wrist, on this fateful day. Fateful, because it has changed so much of my life! So many of my dearest things were lost! So many!
Ok, here on this blog of mine, I am going to list down 7 things related to me breaking my hand on this fateful day. Some of them may be directly related to the fracture, while others may only be tangentially related. So here they are:
1. $10 note This happened to be my pocket money for this day last year and the day after. Something happened to the $10 note before I could spend it on that day. It's up to you readers to guess what happened. I'm not telling here.
2. 0945 This happened to be the time that I broke my hand. There's another thing to do with the 4 numbers though. Again I'm not telling what is the other significance of 0945.
3. Bang Wu The first person that attended to me, when I realised that something was not right after the fall that had caused me to break my hand. In fact, he came on his own accord. Mr Tan the PE teacher even told him to enjoy his games instead, but I told him that Bang Wu was from St. John, and so he could help me. Anyway, here's a big thanks to you, Bang Wu, if you are reading this!
4. Meng Han The last schoolmate I spoke to, before leaving the school to seek medical attention. He shared with me on his experiences with fractures. For example, he said that the staff will send me to KK Hospital if I went to a polyclinic. Anyway, he also comforted me, which is why I want to thank him here. So, if you are reading this, Meng Han, here's a big Thank You from me!
5. 10 year series This was the advice given to me from a staff at KK Hospital. To be specific, it was the X-ray specialist who attended to me that gave me this advice, seeing and inferring that I was in the Upper Secondary levels. Some more, he was on an attachment, as he was still studying at a polytechnic. He told me that doing 10 year series will greatly improve my chances at the O levels. As it came from somebody who has been through the O levels recently, I believe that what he says is true. So you readers, if your O levels are coming up (which should be the case) , go on and do your 10 year series!
6. 5 This is the room number that I went to to see the doctor who would do something about my fractured hand. Coincidentally, this was also the result for What's my expression number? blog quiz.
7. Chicken rice This was the first meal I had after I broke my hand. There was a 9 hour gap between my last meal, my breakfast, and this meal, which meant I was very hungry. ;)
There you have it. 7 random facts related to the fracture of my hand.
Small things can agitate me. Just like how a wafer is contaminated when just one speck of dust lands on the wafer, hence small things, no matter how tiny it is, can have the potential to change my mood (and probably my attitude towards other stuff) in that day. And like how the speck of dust can make a whole wafer useless, seemingly small things can change my mood for the whole day.
But questions emerge. What small things have this ability to change my mood?
This is the second of a four part series on some assortment of songs. Have you guessed the common theme for the four songs that will be up on the Mondays of February? If you have, what a smart fellow! But I doubt this, so let's go on to the second song.
All right, today's song is Insomnia, by Craig David:
Lyrics to Insomnia [Craig David] I never thought that I'd fall in love, love, love, love But it grew from a simple crush, crush, crush, crush Being without you girl, I was all messed up, up, up, up When you walked out, said that you'd had enough-nough-nough-nough
Been a fool, girl I know Didn't expect this is how things would go Maybe in time, you'll change your mind Now looking back i wish i could rewind
Because i can't sleep til you're next to me No i can't live without you no more Oh i stay up til you're next to me Til this house feels like it did before Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah
Remember telling my boys that I'd never fall in love, love, love, love You used to think I'd never find a girl I could trust, trust, trust, trust And then you walked into my life and it was all about us, us, us, us But now I'm sitting here thinking I messed the whole thing up, up, up, up
Been a fool (fool), girl I know (know) Didn't expect this is how things would go Maybe in time (time), you'll change your mind (mind) Now looking back i wish i could rewind
Because i can't sleep til you're next to me No i can't live without you no more (without you no more) Oh i stay up til you're next to me (to me) Til this house feels like it did before (Because it) Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah Feels like insomnia ah ah (Ah), Feels like insomnia ah ah
Ah, i just can't go to sleep Cause it feels like I've fallen for you It's getting way too deep And i know that it's love because
I can't sleep til you're next to me No i can't live without you no more (without you no more) Oh i stay up til you're next to me (to me) Til this house feels like it did before Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah
Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah Feels like insomnia ah ah, Feels like insomnia ah ah
One month has passed (ie. the O levels are now one month closer) , but my Facebook addiction is still going strong. Something like the economy, except it's staying up instead of staying down [mind the pun! ;) ] ! BTW, please click the "accept" button, not the "ignore" button, to accept my invitations to the following applications:
Battle Stations
Mafia Wars
Rock Legends
Battle of the Bands
Knighthood
Pro Racer
And seriously, I don't get the purpose of Owned! I tried to understand, but seriously I think I just don't get it. :X
... ...
Probably I will slowly reduce my addiction to Facebook, but Facebook is like smoking, and getting rid of the addiction won't be easy!
For the month of February, Mondays will be Music Monday! That's when I turn my blog into a music blog, showcasing some of my favourite songs. The songs I pick for this blog won't be any ordinary songs, however. All the songs will have a common theme and it's up to you readers to figure out what (though this month's theme is pretty obvious) .
Lyrics to Crush [David Archuleta] I hung up the phone tonight Something happened for the first time Deep inside it was a rush, what a rush
'Cause the possibility That you would ever feel the same way About me, just too much, just too much
Why do I keep running from the truth? All I ever think about is you You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized And I just got to know
Do you ever think when you're all alone All that we can be, where this thing can go? Am I crazy or falling in love? Is it really just another crush?
Do you catch a breath when I look at you? Are you holding back like the way I do? 'Cause I've tried and tried to walk away But I know this crush ain't going away-ay-ay Going away-ay-ay
Has it ever crossed your mind When we're hanging, spending time girl? Are we just friends? Is there more? Is there more?
See it's a chance we've gotta take 'Cause I believe that we can make this into Something that will last, last forever, forever!
Do you ever think when you're all alone All that we could be, where this thing could go? Am I crazy or falling in love? Is it really just another crush?
Do you catch a breath when I look at you? Are you holding back like the way I do? 'Cause I've tried and tried to walk away But I know this crush ain't going away-ay-ay Going away-ay-ay
Why do I keep running from the truth? All I ever think about is you You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized And I just got to know
Do you ever think when you're all alone All that we could be, where this thing could go? Am I crazy or falling in love? Is it really just another crush?
Do you catch a breath when I look at you? Are you holding back like the way I do? 'Cause I've tried and tried to walk away But I know this crush ain't going away-ay-ay This crush ain't going away-ay-ay
