It's been a long time since I last posted anything about my current life; the last time was almost a month ago! Ok so here are some of the highlights of the recent weeks:
#1. Speech Day
I still remember that my mood when going back to BP was that of a good mood. Then I was directed left right up down centre to take my attendance. That changed that mood to a worse one. Then came a pleasant surprise: the guest-of-honour is one of my (ex-)classmate's father! :D
Here's a photo of 4T2 '09. Wonder who everyone is looking at haha :D

#2. Rotary Flag Day
This was my first time taking part in a flag day, so I think I may be a bit noob ;) Initially I got myself a good location at AMK central, at the middle of a sheltered linkway. Then when more fund-collecters stationed themselves at both ends of the linkway, I found myself having no "business" at all. So I decided to relocate to another hawker centre (close to AJ) and I got brisk "business" there. I cleared all my stickers!
#3. Resilience workshop
The appetizers (first few activities) are interesting, and as for the main course, of the four high elements activities that we have planned to complete, I completed the rock climbing only. Even then, I could not reach the top :( Then it rained (that's why we couldn't do our pre-planned activity ...) Then our class had class dinner at Harbourfront ;) ...
#4. FOL (Festival of Life) program - Aesthetics workshop - Beatboxing!
The beatboxing program was thoroughly exciting and fun! My instructors have such chemistry, they can go host their own radio show and be like the Muttons :D And my group even won a mini competition and we got nice T-shirts designed by one of our instructor! That reminds me that they coincidentally wore the same outfit for the lesson!
#5. Circle Line Discovery
My favourite station is officially Dhoby Ghaut station (CCL), and second place is a tie between Mountbatten station and Paya Lebar station!
#6. I(nnovation) & E(nterprise) day
Some activities were interesting like cryptology (Maths) and Nanoscience (Physics) but others like advertisements (CL) are less interesting. Worst is GP - It's just like any other GP content lecture!!!
#7. AJ scholarship
I was notified that I got the scholarship through SMS ... Obviously I am very happy but with great power comes great responsibility so now I have pressure to be as good a role model for the rest of the student population as possible ... That means no slacking off tutorials :(
#8. My birthday
It passed by without much fanfare. The A square program was on and that meant I reached home at 10 pm. How to celebrate? Go home straight away go to Facebook and thank all the well-wishers, and then almost midnight liao. Then I had to rush to make birthday wishes before midnight arrives ...
#9. SYF Display Band Competition 2010
TK and PY gold, BP and WS silver, Bowen and Deyi gold with honours, YI and SF bronze
That was the results of the competition. Deyi got both best band and best drum major. Even though I feel that Bowen deserved those titles ... And BP could have fared much better ...
#10. AJ Interact Club EXCO interviewSnippets of my thoughts right after the interview:
Prison setting?
I described myself like sh*t
How must I show that I can balance those???
Haiz ... I think I might have messed up my EXCO interview ... It's all right if I don't get in right?
#11. An assaultThere is irony here. Double irony in fact.
Irony 1: The day before, I was asked what if a member was assaulted by a resident? I answered I will console him/her then send him/her for some counseling. And now I'm assaulted.
Irony 2: On that day, free-writing topic was "Violence is the solution to ..." (nothing was my answer) and I'm faced with violence right in my face ...
So that's it for now. I may not be updating this blog as often as I would like to (every week), due to commitments such as PW. But do come back every now and then - I may have new posts!
